  • Due to requests: flamethrower fleas will be allowed. Please contact EO beforehand. Typical SPARC rules still apply

Additional Rules:

  • All batteries MUST be charged in a fireproof bag or container. Participants who break this rule will be asked to leave.

  • Beetleweight weapons will be limited to 250mph tip speed in order to minimize arena damage. Tip speed will be calculated theorhetically using the following: Weapon Radius, Pulley Ratio (if applicable), Motor kv Rating, and LiPo Cell Count. (LiPo: 3.7V/cell)

  • Each robot must be able to fit in a 1ft cube (in any orientation). This is done to ensure that if a bot is on fire it can fit in the sand bucket. Flexible parts that can easily be flexed to fit are allowed. (Robots which don't fit must establish a fire plan with the EO)

Safety Inspections:

  • Each robot willl be weighed (For modular robots, weigh in with your heaviest configuration)

  • Each robot will be inspected to ensure it follows SPARC build guidelines

  • The robot will be placed in the arena to demonstrate safe Load In & Load Out procedure, and failsafes for weapon and drive systems

  • ***NOTE: In the past, there has been leniency with check-ins. From now on, if your bot is not checked in on time, you will not be placed in the bracket!

Arena Details:

  • Arena is 8 x 8 x 4ft in size

  • Floor material is steel

We ask that every participant include a photo of their robot in the robot's profile. No mysterious competitors!
