About This Event
**The American Institute of Mechatronics Engineers Club is hosting it's third annual mechatronics engineering fair, *Robotronica! ***
The fair is intended to be an educational and fun experience for incoming students at Chico State and the College of Engineering. Robotronica will also feature: capstone projects, robotics booths, and food.
The main event of this robotics fair will be full combat PLANT, Ant Weight, and Beetle Weight within our new 3/8" thick polycarbonate 6ft x 6ft arena! This is also the perfect event to showcase non-combat-related projects or tables with heavyweights. Please contact us if you'd like a booth! Current Showcases:

Rules:
SPARC ruleset with the following points of emphasis:

FLAMETHROWERS ALLOWED!! (see SPARC sections 15.2.1 - 15.2.4)

Safety inspection must be completed by 10 AM
-
Exposed batteries are automatic forfeits
One unstick per fight
-
No entanglements (nets, tethers, etc)
-
Tapouts are allowed
-
Match length: 3 minutes
-
Double Elimination with a single final
-
Event Livestreamed by AIME

Tables and Chairs will be provided

Anyone is welcome to attend - entrance into our facility constitutes acceptance of the informed consent and media release. The
Additional Safety Rules regarding batteries (to be finalized)

Safety glasses are required in the pits and while charging, installing or removing batteries.

All batteries must be charged in LiPo bags or other fireproof container
-
Batteries can only be installed for testing or match purposes only

Batteries must be removed from the robot as soon as the match is over
Competitors must register before the event to ensure competition slots
